Welcome one and all to A Nicollet Island Pavilion Wedding!
I hope these pictures help you see exactly why Alex and Annie chose to get married at The Nicollet Island Pavilion.
This spot has so much rustic charm and it’s right on the Mississippi River which gives way to the best views of downtown Minneapolis. Because these two had their original wedding schedule during the peak of COVID restrictions, this was their second chance around to be with all of their people. I am so glad I got to be there to capture it this time around.
One of my favorite parts of their day was how joyful they were with everyone including me- I mean just look at Annie smiling away here:
The Nicollet Island Pavilion has the best photo spots in town- I’m not kidding! You’ve got the river over here, the skyline back there, some pines and grass right here, a beautiful walkway over yonder… The possibilities are endless! Alex and Annie had a very lively bridal party (as seen below) and are very obviously close with their families as well.
During this part of the day, I always walk away feeling so… lucky? Lucky- but also a little bit out of place because I’m surrounded by the couple’s friends and family (who are usually pretty awesome because I work with awesome couples only 😉 ) and I am lucky enough to capture all the laughs, all the inside jokes, and even all the tears that happen in these intimate moments. It’s always a reminder of how grateful I am to be doing what I’m doing.
THE CEREMONY! Are you kidding!? You get to have the river and the fall trees AND the Minneapolis skyline in the background at the Nicollet Island Pavilion!? This place is amazing.
True, this ceremony would have still been beautiful without this venue. That’s because the words that Annie and Alex exchanged were so heartfelt and genuine, but… the gorgeous venue certainly didn’t hurt. Also, a warm and colorful day like this in a Minnesota November!? Cha- ching!
Ok HELLO gorgeous! Are you seeing what I’m seeing!? Because I see the two cutest lovebirds who know how to pose darn well. You’re starting to see what I mean now though- right? We got some rustic brick walls, we’ve got a fricken cool bridge, we got the skyline, and we’ve got those gorgeous tree and landscape vibes. What does the Nicollet Island Pavilion not have!?
PARTAY! And also did some one say… growler??? I love that they had growlers from all sorts of breweries and it just fit so well with their vibe.
For as much as these two danced, there were kind words in so many speeches about them and I think that says a lot. I know that because Alex and Annie got to have all of their people with them this time it was extra special to hear everyone’s speeches and dance with everyone.
We ended the night by recognizing their Wisconsin pride! GO Wisco… I guess?
I’d like to end this post with just a huge congratulations to Alex and Annie. I hope you’re having the best year ever!
